Youth Performance Training Company
The Aeros are A-WOL’s youth performance company. They have been soaring through the air since their first performance dating back to 2009.
Each year, students ages 10-18, with an intermediate to advanced aerial skill level, audition to become a part of this program. They rehearse a minimum of 2-3 times a week and produce large-scale productions to present to the public. Aeros train in acrobatics, dance, physical theater, choreography, and aerial technique on many different apparatus. The program runs September through June, and students are expected to commit to the entire year. Aeros Coaches are seasoned professionals with a wide range of specialties to help foster the Aeros into strong, effective performers.
Please email Beth Fuegy at aeros@awoldance.org if you have any questions about the Aeros program.

More Information about the Aeros Audition (next auditions summer 2027)
The Aeros Youth Training Company is a 10-month pre-professional program designed to provide an advanced training ground for young aerialists who are eager to grow in their artistry, athleticism, and performance. The members of this program participate in specialized rehearsals with a diverse curriculum as well as performance opportunities throughout the year. Students in the Aeros youth company establish a unique, collaborative community and support one another in their learning. The Aeros experience extends beyond their time at AWOL, developing lifelong healthy habits, a strong work ethic, and an open, creative mind.
Aerial students ages 10-18 with at least 2 years of aerial experience are invited to audition.
The audition process:
1) Register for the audition through MindBody (click the small calendar on the right side of the schedule to navigate to audition day and select 'Sign Up Now')
2) Fill out our *Aeros Auditions '25 Google Form prior to audition day.
3) Prepare for audition day by reading the following:
-- After a group warm-up, there will be dance, tumbling, theatre, and aerial segments. Please bring a water bottle and wear fitted athletic attire (no zippers & midriff must be covered) with the hair pinned away from the face. We will start *promptly* at the start time, so plan to be there 15-20 mins early to check in, pin on a number, and get settled. At auditions we are not looking for perfection or the best skills, we will be looking for confidence, good effort, clean technique, and a willingness to participate and learn!
Note: The warehouse is 513 NE Schuyler St. The front door is automatically locked for safety purposes but when you arrive there will be someone at the door to let you in.
Hello, my name is Roxanne Thompson and I am writing this passage to tell you all about my favorite thing on earth (aside from my mom). I may not have any artistic talents such as drawing, writing, or painting but I do circus. That may sound crazy to you, but I love everything about it. This sport is a great way to express my artistic talent and even though I may not be good at it, It is still a wonderfully active and artsy way to express myself. If you don’t see why I love this activity, think about what you love doing most, and multiply it by three, that is how I feel about aerial arts.
A-wol, the group I perform with, is very free and pushes you to the right point. In aeros, I have also had a chance to make so many friends who love exactly what I love. These friends are sometimes better than me, and sometimes not, but what matters the most is that we are trying our best to do what we love and we are getting relationships out of it. A-wol is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I will never give it up and I will always love it.
