Adult Pre-professional Training Program

Portland’s Adult Aerial Training Program

Next program runs from 9/9/26 - 7/11/27

Please email Sarah Goetz & Angela Bryant at flyco@awoldance.org if you have any questions.

FlyCo is A-WOL’s adult pre-professional training company which started in 2012. FlyCo students train, dance and perform together. It is a unique program that offers training with a host of performance opportunities throughout the year. Many of our FlyCo members feed directly into our Circus Rose and Company members.

Each week FlyCo comes together for full group rehearsals which will include aerial technique classes, conditioning, flexibility training, dance, physical theater, ground acrobatics, and show creation:

*Schedule is subject to change slightly from year to year to better fit the training times available in the cohort.

FlyCo has performance opportunities each year, they typically perform next to the Aeros, A-WOL’s youth performance training company, Circus Rose & Company members. Potential performance opportunities:

Involvement in Winter Gala (mid-December)

Adult Aerial Student Showcase (beginning of May)

Full Length Show (mid to late May) - if 8 or more students enrolled in the Continuum program

Open Air Show (1st or 2nd Weekend of June))

Solo Soiree (mid-July)

To supplement our usual training routine, we will also offer special workshops like injury prevention, building your choreography toolbox, stage make-up application, audition prep, self-promotion and marketing and many more.

In addition to our FlyCo group rehearsals, each member will have access to our virtual offerings of flexibility, dance, conditioning, and special guest classes. The students also attend open gym times to hone the skills they are learning in class. There are several tuition options, as well as add-ons for even more independent training times so that you can up your intensity if you're ready for more.
